Jump Force just announced their latest character so fans better get ready to d-d-d-d-duel! Yugi Muto, King of Games and Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist, will be one of the many playable fighters in the game and he appears to be in possessed by the Pharaoh, just like in the anime. No footage of the character has been shared but we do have one great-looking image of the duelist.
From what we can see in the picture, it looks like Yugi is about to use his signature Mind Crash attack on an opponent. It will be interesting to see how he attacks in the game, though one can imagine him summoning Duel Monsters like Dark Magician. Either way, he will be one of the game's more unique fighters.
Since Yugi is in the game, it's safe to assume that one of his rivals will be a part of it as well. It could be Seto Kaiba or Marik Ishtar since they are his most popular foes. Perhaps they will surprise fans and make it Maximillion Pegasus but we will have to wait and see.
Expect more news about Yugi in the coming weeks if Bandai Namco decides to follow the same pattern that the other characters have had.
Jump Force comes out in 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One.
