James Gunn Says The Suicide Squad is the Most Fun Movie He's Directed

The Suicide Squad has a lot of fans excited, bringing back favorites from the flawed but successful first film and a variety of newcomers. Add the fact that James Gunn will be directing it and there's a good chance that this could be the most entertaining DCEU movie, assuming that it's done right after all. Interestingly enough, Gunn recently spoke out and stated that his DCEU film is the most fun movie he has shot.

What was the most difficult one? That answer will surprise you.

During a massive Q&A session on his Instagram, Gunn was asked about the most difficult film he has shot. When comparing the movies he's made, Gunn revealed that The Suicide Squad is currently the most fun movie he has shot, which is really good to know. It has us comic book fans excited to know that the movie was a great experience for him.

But what was the hardest movie for him to shoot? Read the answer below:

"They're all challenging. Super was physically brutal - so much movie and so little time to shoot it. [Guardians of the Galaxy] Vol. 1 was scary because I didn't know if people would get the vibe. [Guardians of the Galaxy] Vol. 2 was the hardest because of my mental state. [The Suicide] Squad is the most complex and biggest but also the most fun so far. So I guess overall Vol. 2."

It's actually surprising to know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was the hardest film for him to direct thus far. Considering how some of us consider the movie to be one of the best MCU installments released thus far, thanks to a lot of great characterization and some solid action scenes. If The Suicide Squad can be half as good, we're in good hands.
