Ian McDiarmid Comments on Final Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer

Disney and Lucasfilm have released the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and it looks pretty great thus far. It's still pretty vague about the overall plot, which can't be said for a lot of other movies that have trailers. Emperor Palpatine, who gave an ominous laugh in the first trailer, actually says a few words in the final trailer and is almost seen, though they smartly decided not to show his face.

Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid recently went to Twitter and got fans squealing by saying one of the character's iconic lines: "Everything is going according to plan. Good." This should get fans talking about the big bad from Star Wars and will likely have us wondering how he is still alive after Darth Vader seemingly killed him during The Return of the Jedi.

The actor has managed to gain a ton of attention with only one sentence, which is pretty impressive. Granted, this is the age of social media where celebrities have a better chance of interacting with you, but the attention this tweet has gotten is still pretty cool. McDiarmid will probably act his butt off in The Rise of Skywalker and should give fans a lot to talk about.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be coming to theaters on December 20. Will it surpass expectations? Maybe even surpass them? As someone who liked The Last Jedi, I hope the movie doesn't throw its predecessor in the garbage.
