Hawkeye Disney+ Series Will Reveal Clint Barton's MCU Origin

There's a lot of chatter surrounding the Hawkeye Disney+ series coming out in 2021, with reports supposedly claiming that Jeremy Renner won't be replaced as the Avenging Archer. Many of us had assumed that Disney would take action after the case against him came to light but Renner is standing his ground and it looks like the studio will stay on his side, at least for now.

However you feel about the situation, it's probably a good thing that Renner will be staying on as Hawkeye, simply because the Disney+ series will supposedly show the character's origin. Trinh Tran, the writer for this Marvel series, shared her excitement for writing this show since it will shed some light on Clint Barton's MCU past, which has yet to be revealed.

Seriously, the only thing we know about Clint's past is that something happened between him and Natasha in Budapest. Anyway, here's what Tran told ScreenRant:

"Well, I chose that one specifically because we haven't gotten a chance to tell Clint Barton's story. You've seen Thor have several movies. You know his backstory. Cap has several movies, Tony has a few, so they've all had their chance, and Clint Barton hasn't gotten a chance to tell his past."

If Renner is innocent, let's hope that the Hawkeye Disney+ series, which is set to come out in 2021, is a good one. Diving into Clint's past should be entertaining and the introduction of Kate Bishop, which will probably tease Young Avengers, should also be pretty fun.
