Halo Infinite Gets Epic New Trailer, Will Be a Launch Title for Project Scarlett

Microsoft went and announced their new Xbox, codenamed Project Scarlett, and it will be released in Fall 2020, which is huge. This means that the next console generation is going to start sooner than expected and Microsoft also announced that a huge game will be a launch title for the system; Halo Infinite. That's right, the next game in the series that proved first-person shooters can work on consoles will be in the next Xbox.

We also got a spiffy new trailer for the game and it is amazing. The first few minutes don't make it obvious that this will be a Halo game until midway through and the new status quo for this series should be a good one. This could also mean that the game will be a decent jumping-on point, though that remains to be seen.

Fans who aren't ready for Project Scarlett have nothing to worry about since Halo Waypoint confirmed that the game would still be coming to Xbox One. This will likely be the last major Xbox One exclusive game before Microsoft put most of their focus on Project Scarlett and that system's new games. Thankfully, like the unnamed next-gen PlayStation console, it will also have backward compatibility.

Halo Infinite will be coming out on Fall 2020, just like Project Scarlett.
