HBO Max Could Be Home to Some DC Movies

HBO Max is going to be yet another streaming service competing against Netflix, with a lot of content fans are looking forward to. The fact that they will be streaming all Studio Ghibli films is a huge plus for anime fans, especially since it was previously stated that the company wouldn't make their movies streamable, and the inclusion of Doctor Who and Friends make this an instant-buy for many.

Seems like DC fans might soon be interested in the service since a report claims that HBO Max could be home to some future DC films.

According to a report from Variety, HBO Max will be leaning towards Warner Bros. for a lot of future content, with eight to ten movies possibly planned for the streaming service alone. It will be interesting to see what kind of DC movies we get from HBO Max since the service is expected to stream shows like Watchmen and Doom Patrol, the latter of which was originally a DC Universe series.

This actually isn't too surprising when you consider all the Marvel projects coming to Disney+, even though they are years away. Shows like WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier seems like essential MCU viewings, while She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel should be amazing additions to the MCU.

No confirmed DC movies have been revealed so if you were hoping to see Nightwing here, you're out of luck. We can probably expect movies or shows set in the larger DCEU or be connected to DC Universe shows. On that note, a Swamp Thing movie that takes place after the series would be amazing.

HBO Max will launch in the spring of 2020.
