Guardians of the Galaxy Director Reveals Deleted Scene He Wants to Bring Back

Guardians of the Galaxy is consistently brought up as an MCU favorite, with many fans loving how James Gunn brought these obscure characters to the big screen and essentially making them household names. While Gunn doesn't have too many regrets with how the film went, the director did reveal one scene he wishes could be brought back in some sort of special edition, George Lucas-style.

Answering fan questions, Gunn revealed a funny exchange between Star-Lord and Drax that was cut from the final film. It has Star-Lord saying that he "comes from a planet of outlaws: Billy the Kid, Bonnie & Clyde, John Stamos," with Drax quickly pointing out how he wants to go to this planet and kill people. This definitely would have popped fans since Star-Lord is filled with these kinds of references and it would have totally fit his character.

Honestly, we wouldn't mind a "special edition" or "remastered edition" of Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, even if it's just to put this one scene in. We're sure that Disney and Marvel could come up with some other fun extras to get fans to buy this, maybe even start a line of some MCU re-releases. Then again, it hasn't been long since they release the Infinity Saga so what do we know?

Fans can rewatch the current version of Guardians of the Galaxy on Disney+. They can also pick up this movie on Blu-Ray or DVD but please, for the love of God, wear a mask.
