Giancarlo Esposito Thinks Jon Favreau is Already Writing The Mandalorian Season 3

Whether it's The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad, or The Boys, it's clear that Giancarlo Esposito is one talented actor and we're excited to see him in whatever piece of media he chooses. As we wait for Far Cry 6 and The Mandalorian Season 2 to see more of Esposito's character, the actor has revealed that he thinks showrunner Jon Favreau is already working on The Mandalorian Season 3.

Speaking with Variety, Esposito said he got that feeling after having some conversations with the Iron Man and Lion King director. Though the actor hasn't actually seen any of the second season's post-production scenes yet, he feels that Favreau is already thinking about how to follow up on the second season's stories already, which is what all good showrunners should do.

"I've had a chance to have some conversations with him. So, I haven't seen any of [Season] 2 yet, but it's gonna be power-packed, and I think in Jon's mind, he's probably already writing [Season] 3."

Most of us are still waiting for what Favreau has in store for us in The Mandalorian Season 2 but if they manage to hit that sweet consistency spot that the first season nailed, things should end up being fine. What made the first season work was how it managed to mix Western stories with the universe of Star Wars so continuing that trend should help. Also, more Baby Yoda would be nice.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will reportedly hit Disney+ this October, while the third season doesn't even have a release date yet.
