George Clooney Tried to Warn Ben Affleck About Batman Role

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will go down as one of the worst DC movies out there, despite the fact that it has quite a number of defenders. Still, no matter what the critics have to say, there were a lot of people who enjoyed the film, especially Ben Affleck's performance as Batman. Many felt that the actor was able to bring the anguish and nuance that the character is expected to have but it turns out people tried to talk him out of it.

Including a former Batman.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, George Clooney talked about his abysmal movie Batman and Robin. The movie was notoriously bad, to the point that many blame it for the lack of Batman films coming out until Christopher Nolan's masterful Batman Begins. Clooney admits that it was a bad movie and that he was bad in it but also claims to have persuaded Affleck to not take the role for Batman V Superman.

Clooney does admit that Affleck did do good with what was given to him but I think we can all agree that the films were the problem, not Affleck. Now if only the director of Batman V Superman and Justice League was better. Still, it's pretty cool that Clooney can admit that Affleck did a better job as Batman than him.

Fans can check out Batman V Superman in Blu-Ray and DVD. We'll be getting a new actor playing as Bruce Wayne in The Batman, from Matt Reeves.
