Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins Want to Wait a Bit Before Making Wonder Woman 3

The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer has proven to be a huge success amongst fans, thanks to some great music, cool action scenes, and well-done colors that give this DC sequel seem livelier. Fans can't wait to see how this movie follows up from the original and how exactly they bring someone like Steve Trevor back from the dead since he has no superpowers. We're expecting some Winter Soldier-style tricks to bring him back, though you never know.

Unsurprisingly, fans are already wondering if there will be a Wonder Woman 3 since all the good superhero movies not named Spider-Man seem to have a great third installment. Well, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, lead star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins claim that they want to wait a bit before making a third movie.

Apparently, Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 were essentially shot back-to-back. Though it was an enjoyable experience for all involved, Jenkins knows that Gadot has other commitments and wants to make a third one when the time is right. Basically, it's a matter of when instead of if.

"We actually already know the whole story to it. It's just a matter of, will we change our minds, and when [to make it]. I think what we don't want to do is do it back to back. It's been great doing these two movies back to back, but I think it's important to give it a little rest in between. And I like doing other things in between. And Gal has other things to do. I never want to make decisions too far in advance. We have to see if we both feel like making the movie we think we want to make when the moment comes."

Giving them time is good since you don't want to exhaust the people working on these movies. No one wants to work on the same thing over and over again so some time to rest should make Wonder Woman 3 even better.

Wonder Woman 1984 comes out on June 5, 2020.
