First Godzilla: The Planet Eater Trailer Prepares Us For a Monstrous End

The Godzilla anime films have been a huge fit with fans, surprising those who viewed them with great animation and solid character work. While the CGI for Godzilla is a little off, the movies have been pretty solid and have done justice to the genre, along with the previous Godzilla films. We're finally getting the third movie and a new trailer has been released.

Godzilla: The Planet Eater is the latest film and is the sequel to Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, which was already a sequel to Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. Humanity just can't beat the big lizard so they're in desperation mode and are relying on another monster to kill this one, which probably won't end well.

It's going to be Godzilla vs Ghidorah in a monster battle of the century. The CGI might turn off some fans but it should still be a treat to those that have enjoyed the first two movies. Plus, as the finale of these Godzilla movies, expect this to feel like the end, though we won't know if it will be a good one for the last remaining humans.

Helmed by returning directors Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita, Godzilla: The Planet Eater is voiced by Mamoru Miyano, Takahiro Sakurai, Tomokazu Sugita, and Yuki Kaji. It is scheduled to be released in Japan on November 9. The first two installments of the anime trilogy are currently available to stream on Netflix.
