Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Officially Makes Squall the Best-Looking Guy Here

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is looking to be one of Square Enix's better remasters, changing the character models and possibly adding voice clips. The game might also have a physical release, something the remasters of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX didn't receive, which means this could be the best remaster of Square's classic PlayStation games. To celebrate the game's 2019 release, Square Enix has shown off a remastered version of the game's best meme.

That's right, Squall Leonhart is officially the best-looking guy here. Sure, it still doesn't hold a candle to most PlayStation 2 games but it's still a wonderful facelift and it's nice to see Square Enix being aware of that meme. At the least, it shows that Square Enix has a sense of humor and we can only hope that a release date is coming soon.

You could argue that Squall has looked better in spin-off games like Dissidia Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts but seeing the character look this good in his own game is off the charts. It's clear to see why this remaster took a while to release since they are actually putting more effort into this then we thought.

As of this writing, there is no release date for Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, though the game is scheduled for a 2020 release. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
