Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Have a Reversible Cover for Some Reason

Sorry if this sounds cliche but Final Fantasy VII Remake has to be one of the most anticipated video games coming out next year. This is a game that fans have been asking for since a PS3 demo recreated the game's opening all those years ago so to see it become a reality has floored a lot of people. Fans also cried tears of joy when the box art was revealed, showing that we would get an updated version of the original game's North American release.

Well, just in case you're one of the people who hated the Final Fantasy VII Remake box art (for some reason), Square Enix has great news for you. It was confirmed that the game will get a reversible cover that will have the previously-revealed art and a simple black drop with the logo. That's a solid option for minimalists but I think most of us are more than content with the updated art.

This has become something game companies have done if the originally slated box art did not get a positive reaction. Fans will remember how Doom (2016) had terrible box art but had an awesome reversible cover that gave fans an homage to the original game. The box art was liked so much that it ended up becoming the default look for its re-release on Nintendo Switch.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be coming to the PS4 on March 3, 2020. More installments are expected to come out, though they don't have a release date yet.
