Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets PS4 and PS4 Pro Bundle in Japan

Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of the hottest PS4 games coming out and fans are more than willing to brave COVID-19 just to get this JRPG. That, or they will get the digital version, which is currently the safer option right now. Interestingly enough, people in Japan are going out again and even attending wrestling shows so it makes some sense that Square Enix would announce two new Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 bundles.

The timing might seem odd to some since Sony is releasing the PlayStation 5 later this year but it's something all companies like to do for their highly-anticipated games. Nintendo was even selling New 3DS bundles when the Switch was already announced so this is simply something publishers do to make more money. Capitalism at its finest but hey, these versions do look nice, at the very least.

Sadly, fans hoping for a redesigned PS4 or PS4 Pro model are going to be disappointed. While it will come with the game and a big box highlighting its cover art, these will be standard black PS4 and PS4 Pros for both bundles. Probably something for late adapters who think the PS5 won't be too hot when it comes out but not for hardcore fans who like getting limited edition consoles.

Like the actual game, these Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 bundles will be coming out in Japan on April 10. Currently, there don't seem to be any plans to bring this to the US, though we can always dream.
