Fans Spot Godzilla: King of the Monsters Star in Classic Dragon Ball Episode

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be coming to theaters this month and fans are pretty pumped up to see some kaiju fights on the big screen. While superhero films are fun and all, it's been a while since we've seen these gigantic creatures brawl in movie theaters and this should be a treat for many. It's worth noting that some of these monsters aren't brand-new but actually come from classic Godzilla movies.

Turns out that the monsters are so famous that they've appeared in certain anime before. One fan actually spotted Ghidorah in a classic episode of Dragon Ball, during the World Tournament Arc. Ghidorah has appeared in a number of popular Godzilla movies before so it's not too surprising to see a monster that looks like it in Dragon Ball.

Fans that love Godzilla are quite aware of the franchise's odd history. The unofficial appearance of Ghidorah in this episode shows how iconic these monsters can be but we've seen weirder from these characters. Godzilla was once a Marvel character and has even had bouts with Jack Kirby creation Devil Dinosaur, which was awesome.

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity's very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters comes out on May 31.
