Fan-Favorite Alan Tudyk Will Voice Iago for Live-Action Aladdin Movie

Now that we know the Aladdin reboot will be having some of the original animated movie's classic songs, it's not much of a surprise to know that Iago will talk in this version of the film. Iago, for those unaware, is the red parrot who accompanies Jafar and tries to help him take over all of Agrabah and it will be interesting to see if they succeed this time.

Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we now know that Doom Patrol and Firefly star Alan Tudyk will be voicing the angry parrot. Gilbert Gottfried was the original voice for the character back in the first movie and all of the animated sequels that were straight to home release.

Considering his voice work in films like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Wreck-It Ralph, it's easy to see why he got the role. Tudyk is a pretty established actor at this point and his resume will only grow as time goes on, so it will be fun seeing how this version of the character sounds like. Tudyk is very good at voice work so he should do fine.

Aladdin comes out on May 24. Will it feel like A Whole New World? Let us hope so.
