Fallout 76 is Getting a Massive Free Update, Will Add NPCs and a Battle Royale Mode

Last year, Fallout 76 was released and fans were a bit skeptical about it but were still hyped to see a new Fallout game from Bethesda. However, the game ended up having one of the most botched launches in gaming history as the "final" product was a bug-ridden mess that made this game more of a joke. It seems like Bethesda haven't given up on the title as a huge update will be adding massive new additions; NPCs and a Battle Royale mode.

That last part isn't a joke.

According to the game's press release (via Gematsu), the Fallout 76 Wastelanders update will dramatically change everything fans know by adding NPCs, making it feel like a real Fallout game. There will be two factions to of Raiders and Settlers to do work for, with players being able to do this by themselves or with friends.

In other words, this is what the game should have been at launch.

Then there is the Battle Royale mode called Nuclear Winter. Up to 52 players can partake in this massive multiplayer brawl where nukes are going crazy and participants will have to fight and see who will lead Volt 51. It's a unique way to make the mode special but this does reek of some desperation since gamers just seem to love Battle Royale games these days.

Thanks, Fortnite.

Fallout 76 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Fallout 76 Wastelanders update will be releasing this Fall.
