Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Offers Another Update on Black Adam, Comments on DCEU's Reconfiguration

We knew about a Black Adam movie before Shazam, so the fact that the latter already has a release date while the former is still being made has amused and confused fans. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson confirmed that he will be the anti-hero and has continued discussing the film, despite the lack of news surrounding it.

Speaking with Variety, the Skyscraper star discussed Black Adam briefly and says that it will still be happening. Interestingly enough, Johnson brings up the DC reconfiguration announced after the box office failure of Justice League, which is interesting, to say the least.

Johnson said that the DC movie is coming along well and the script is still being written. The former WWE Champion said that this is the kind of project you want to take your time with, so that's good to hear. Considering how Shazam is coming out next year, waiting for that film's reception is a safe movie.

As far as the reconfiguration goes, Johnson said that Warner Bros. is diligently working on the DC universe and how future movies will be like. They're also trying to make sure Black Adam fits into this universe well, which is always good to hear.

Black Adam currently has no release date. Shazam will be coming out next April.
