Dungeons and Dragons Movie Hoping to Land Marvel's Dave Bautista, Chris Pratt, and Others as Lead Stars

Paramount's Dungeons and Dragons movie has been of great interest to nerds everywhere since the tabletop RPG continues to be one of the most popular hobbies out there. There hasn't been much said about the movie, aside from Lego Batman director Chris McKay possibly helming it, but it looks like that has changed, thanks to a new report from The Hashtag Show.

According to the report, the movie will be moving forward after a recent draft for the script got some positive reception from people in the company. Paramount is also hoping to get a huge star for the movie and are hoping to get one of the following actors: Will Smith, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Matthew McConaughey, Jamie Foxx, Joel Edgerton, Dave Bautista, Jeremy Renner, or Johnny Depp.

That's the longest shortlist I've ever seen.

Seeing some Marvel actors here isn't a huge surprise since they have been in high demand, especially Pratt. The actor seems to be free for a while since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 won't be in production anytime soon and the same goes for Dave Bautista. We don't know what will be happening to Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin after Avengers: Endgame so they are also fair game.

Frankly, any of those lead actors would be suitable for a Dungeons and Dragons movie. Then again, any movie can still be good or bad if the script or directing isn't great.
