Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Gets New Introduction Trailer With Characters You May Have Forgotten

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot continues to look like a promising retelling of Goku's post-Dragon Ball stories. The game will be coming out on PS4 and Xbox One early next year, giving us an RPG that will detail Goku's story from the Saiyan Saga to the Buu Saga, with a few side quests here and there to flesh out the story. Bandai Namco released a new trailer that introduces some of the game's mechanics and it continues to look promising.

If you're a big fan of the original Dragon Ball series then you're in luck since there are a number of references to this classic story. Both Nam and Launch appear, joining the previously revealed Eighter as the classic Dragon Ball characters who will be fleshed out in Kakarot. There's also a brief scene of Goku looking beat down from his fight with Piccolo, though it could also be Raditz but we can dream right?

While we're not expecting much from Eighter, Nam, and Launch, it is really nice seeing them again. Akira Toriyama, bless his heart, needs to dedicate some time to the other characters he created since they can flesh out the story in a much more interesting way. Hopefully, we get more references to the original and, if we're lucky, a prequel game that stars Goku as a kid.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on January 17, 2020.
