Dragon Ball Super Will Continue, Starting With The 20th Movie

It looks like Dragon Ball Super isn't ending after all. Not yet at least. While the current anime will be ending after the Tournament of Power, it turns out that the 20th Dragon Ball film will actually be a continuation of the series. Many assumed it would be a prequel since it focuses on the history of the Saiyan race but it actually takes place after the current Super arc.

Revealed sometime after the film's first image was released, the new movie will surprisingly be called Dragon Ball Super as well, though a new subtitle is likely to be added. The movie's website also revealed some interesting tidbits, including unexplored topics about Frieza and the Saiyans.

Will we finally know the name of Frieza's race? We can only hope.

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama will be handling the film's script and character designs, which is exciting, to say the least. He also chimed in about the film's continuation of Super and hopes the fans look forward to it.

The 20th movie, tentatively called Dragon Ball Super, comes out on December 14, 2018.
