It seems like leaks have become a rite of passage for highly anticipated fighting games, and Dragon Ball FighterZ might be the next one. The leak is claiming that the game will have 27 characters at launch, four of whom will be unlockable by playing the game. A "super saiyan pass" was also mentioned, which will supposedly have two new DLC characters in it.
Said leak was posted in the Shoryuken forums by someone claiming to be a GameStop Expo attendee. The user claims that the unlockable characters are the SSGSS Goku, SSGSS Vegeta, Android 17 (with Android 18) and Towa (with Mira) from Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Bandai Namco did confirm the Super Saiyan Blue duo as unlockable characters, so it will be interesting to see if 17 and Towa are really playable.
Other "facts" shared include the story taking place sometime after the Goku Black arc from Dragon Ball Super. The fighting game does have a few Super characters, like Super Saiyan Blue versions of Goku and Vegeta, as well as the Golden form of Freeza. Not much else is known, since the leak didn't reveal the 27 characters or the rest of the story details.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is slated for a February 2018 release, and will be coming out on the PS4 and Xbox One. Only time will tell if the leak is true, so future reveals from Bandai Namco should be fun to watch.
