After years of not being canon, only appearing in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn and Dragon Ball GT, fans were more than happy to see Gogeta appear in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. His climactic battle with Broly was a sight to behold, even if some fans thought that the screaming and lasers got a bit tiresome by the end.

Fans were also excited when it was announced that Gogeta would be coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ as DLC and we now have a lengthy gameplay trailer, along with a release date.

Thanks to YouTuber Dragon Ball Hype, we now know that the Dragon Ball FighterZ Gogeta DLC will be coming out on September 26. That is way sooner than most of us thought and his moves look amazing, with the developers getting most of his crazy attacks from the Broly film. Gogeta also has a nice mix of moves from Goku and Vegeta, like the Kamehameha and the Galick Gun.

Gogeta will also be getting a Dramatic Finish against Janemba if the latter is beaten by the former in Land of the Kais. This wasn’t discussed in the gameplay video but it was shown in Janemba’s reveal trailer, which teased Gogeta. Most of us are sad that we won’t be seeing a stage of Hell from Fusion Reborn but they could always add that later on (they won’t).

Ironically, I’ve actually been using Vegito in FighterZ recently but now I can’t wait to try out Gogeta. He looks like one of the most fun characters in the game and should be fun to use. Granted, he might be broken and will likely get nerfed later on but let’s not dwell on the possible sad news.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Gogeta is coming to FighterZ on September 26.
