Dragon Ball FighterZ Becomes More Like Marvel vs Capcom With Season 3's Z Assist Select

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 is looking to be the biggest change to this game so far and fans are really digging what Bandai Namco has been serving. We were already pretty excited about Ultra Instinct Goku and Kefla joining the fray but Bandai Namco and Arc System Works revealed some actual gameplay changes that will alter how everyone plays this game. It basically turns Dragon Ball FighterZ into Dragon Ball Marvel vs Capcom FighterZ.

In the video below, fans can check out the new Z Assist Select, which lets fans change the kind of attacks the assists do. This is a huge game-changer since it means fans won't be relying on Goku (SSJ), Goku Black, or Yamcha for their extended combos. This is actually pretty crazy and will likely get a lot of fans using different characters so that they can see what kind of assists they have.

Other battle adjustments in Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 includes an upgraded Sparking Blast/X-Factor. When players are down to their final character, they receive a huge buff that increases their damage greatly and can make them take down a whole team by themselves, if they play smart, of course.

These adjustments, plus the recently-announced DLC characters, make Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 one of the most anticipated in a while. We're happy to know that this won't just be an excuse to add more characters. Hopefully, the characters receive appropriate buffs and nerfs as well.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
