Despite Ghost Rider Cancellation, Hulu is Very Happy With Marvel's Helstrom Series

With Hulu's plans for Ghost Rider dashed away, it would be easy to assume that the streaming service would be a bit sour with Marvel right now. Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case since Hulu is reportedly "very happy" with another show from the popular company: Marvel's Helstrom. It looks like there's still some merit in Marvel's partnership with Hulu and it's going to be interesting to see why they're so happy with this show.

ComicBook.com has learned that Hulu is "very happy" with the series, which will be headed by Paul Zbyszewski. Hulu is also pushing through with the Marvel animated shows that were previously announced - Marvel's M.O.D.O.K, Marvel's Hit-Monkey, Marvel's Tigra & Dazzler Show and Marvel's Howard the Duck - so it's good to know that their relationship hasn't soured.

Then again, Disney owns some of Hulu now so that might not even be an option for them.

Helstrom is an interesting Marvel character, to say the least. The literal son of Satan - he even had a comic book called Son of Satan - Helstrom is often seen in Doctor Strange-related stories, though he has also popped up in an Avengers arc or two. It would be presumptuous of us to assume that they're going to make this show similar to Lucifer but let's wait and see.

As of this writing, Marvel's Helstrom doesn't have a release date yet. Reports claim that production on the series will begin this October.
