Death Stranding's Hideo Kojima Hopes to Make Movies Soon

If you've ever played any of the Metal Gear Solid games, you know that Hideo Kojima likes movies. His video games for Konami were some of the most cinematic titles ever seen, with Metal Gear Solid V even having credits for each mission players did. From everything we've seen of Death Stranding, it seems like this game will also be very cinematic, which is what we all want from Hideo Kojima's games.

Unsurprisingly, Kojima wants to start making movies and the long-time video game director has said that Kojima Productions will soon make them. During the BBC Documentary that covered how Death Stranding was made, Kojima confirmed that his company would eventually start making movies. This is definitely something fans have always wanted to see about Kojima and we're sure that it will be just as wild as his video games, if not more.

Here's what Kojima said in the documentary:

"In the future, Kojima Productions will start making films. If you can do one thing well, then you can do everything well."

We're sure critics will have a field day with one of Kojima's future films since the man has made games that manage to be subtle and pretentious all at once. He definitely makes some of the most unique video games out there, which is why he's so well-known with us gamers. It's pretty doubtful that he would direct a Metal Gear Solid movie, though Kojima is helping out with the production.

Death Stranding comes out on PS4 on November 8. The game will also come to PC in summer 2020.
