Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld is Making a Brand-New Superhero Team

Things haven't been too great for Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld in recent weeks. Sure, he still has a number of projects lined up, like the sequel to Deadpool: Bad Blood, but the creator no longer owns Youngblood, leaving their future in the hands of an unknown publisher right now. Seems like the past doesn't bother Liefeld since he recently shared drawings of a brand-new superhero team he is working on.

On Instagram, Liefeld shared an image of, well, a typical superhero drawn by the artist, though the lack of swords was surprising (still plenty of pouches though). Liefeld promised that we would be seeing each character of this series revealed in due time but it's nice to know that he's working on something new, even if it feels like a counterattack against Youngblood.

Honestly, what happened to Liefeld is pretty messed up and it's heartbreaking seeing one of his creations taken away from him. Granted, you can count the amount of good Youngblood comics there are in one hand but that's no excuse. Hopefully, whatever this new superhero group is called, they end up making an impact and fans get interested enough to check it out.

As we wait for this series to come out, the comic book creator still has a number of projects coming out. Liefeld is currently working on Major X, a Marvel Comics series starring some characters from the X-Men and X-Force, along with some of his original creations.
