DC Universe Won't Go Through Any Major Changes, Despite HBO Max Announcement

When DC Universe and a number of other networks were shown to be a part of Warner Bros upcoming HBO Max streaming service, fans were confused. This made it seem like HBO Max would include all of these networks as part of the streaming service, which has confused those that are already subscribed to some of them. DC fans were also worried when Doom Patrol was shown as one of the service's shows since many saw it as Max taking away a DC Universe series.

Somebody from Warner Bros was able to clarify some statements to io9, claiming that nothing would change in regards to DC Universe. Though Doom Patrol's appearance wasn't mentioned, fans can rest easy assuming that the show will also be featured in HBO Max, in addition to the DC Universe service.

Getting more eyes on the product is far from a bad thing and it's not the first time it's happened; Titans is currently showing on Netflix in certain countries. It seems like HBO Max will also act as an outlet for all these streaming services, probably so that more people will sign up for it. After all, having Doom Patrol on more than one platform is beneficial for that show.

HBO Max will debut on Spring 2020.
