DC Films' Joker Gets Three New Images That Tell a Story

The upcoming Joker movie has plenty of potential and many are hoping that it will be one of DC's best films. It's not going to be part of the current DCEU that's home to Shazam, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman, which means it already has a clean slate that won't be bogged down by the previous film's continuity. As we wait for reviews from the Toronto International Film Festival, DC Films has decided to release three new images from the film.

While the three images could be taken from different scenes in the film, they actually tell an interesting story if you view all of them. The first has Arthur Fleck, played by Joaquin Phoenix, is seen laughing maniacally in the bus as people wonder what's wrong with him. In the next picture, Fleck is putting on his makeup, seemingly "getting into character." Finally, we see him in the full Joker garb.

As a sequence of slowly descending into madness go, this one is pretty great. The fact that we can understand what's going on without any words shows just how elaborate and detailed these images are. Hopefully, the movie lives up to our expectations since this could either be the best DC film or one of the strangest.
