Cyborg Movie Might Be an Origin Story

Cyborg could have been one of the more interesting characters in Justice League, had the film decided to delve more into his backstory. Of course, fans could say the same for Aquaman and The Flash but at least they were able to show off their personality and quick wit. It looks like DC and Warner Bros. are hoping to make the character more interesting by making the Cyborg film an origin story.

Joe Morton, the actor who played Cyborg's father Dr. SIlas Stone, told Entertainment Tonight that the film will focus on the character's origins. Aside from how he bonded with the odd Mother Box technology, it might also delve into the character's family life, which was briefly touched on in Justice League.

"From what I understand, there will be a Cyborg movie. It will be about him and I, and about the family that he came from, how he becomes the Cyborg, et cetera, but from whence he came, as well."

Ideally, it would be more interesting to focus on the character's outing post-Justice League but this could be an interesting story as well. Cyborg does struggle with what he's become so if we can learn more about the technology that made him this way, it could make for a fascinating DC film.

Cyborg was originally slated for a 2020 release, though it's not clear if that will push through. There were definitely some interesting elements to the character, so it will be nice to see him get some time in the spotlight.
