Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have an Adult Storyline That Tackles Difficult Subjects

Cyberpunk 2077 has to be one of next year's most anticipated games and it's all thanks to the involvement of CD Projekt Red. The developers proved that they're some of this industry's best, thanks to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt so we can't wait and see what they can do with a cyberpunk setting. Fans who thought that the developers might hold back after all the grotesque and harsh themes we saw in The Witcher 3 are dead wrong; they're going for even more adult themes.

During an interview with Polskie Radio (that was translated by fans on Reddit), CD Projekt Red stressed that the games they make are not targeted towards children. Furthermore, they will continue to make video games that will appeal to mature audiences and tackle difficult subjects. Apparently, they won't just be subtle information but will be in the forefront, which is great for those that wanted more adult themes.

"Their [CD Projekt RED's] goal is to tell a movie-like story for an adult audience, touching subjects that we face in our times. He [Sasko] specifies that their games are not toys and are not for children. He says in today's culture, we try to avoid difficult subjects but they will not shy away from these. In fact, he says the game is loaded with them – they want people to think for themselves and it will be up to us to decide what our morality is."

Fans can pre-order Cyberpunk 2077 right now. The game will be coming out on April 16 and is going to be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
