Chris Evans Jokes About Iron Man Killing Captain America in Avengers: Endgame

There are a lot of things fans want to see in Avengers: Endgame but there is one moment everyone is hoping to witness in this pivotal film; Captain America and Iron Man interacting. These two heroes beat each other to a pulp during Captain America: Civil War and things did not end well for their friendship, though Steve did leave Tony a cellphone to contact him if he ever needed help.

Of course, that's where Endgame comes in.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Evans stated that Iron Man would kill Captain America. Then he said it was a joke. Until he said that the joke could be true, before stating that a lot of the trailer is a "visual spoiler," before shutting up and letting us wait for Endgame.

"After I die by Tony's hand, I just said, 'You know what? I can't watch this.I should make it clear that this is a joke, even if it feels like the kind of joke that could turn out to be true.I can't believe they even cut together a trailer because so much of it is a visual spoiler. Probably shouldn't have even said that."

Fans might start speculating about this, though it's worth noting that these two have never killed each other in the comic books. Yeah, they've fought a bunch of times, but nothing that bad. Maybe it's a moment where Tony doesn't have a choice but to kill Steve but, once again, this could just be a joke.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
