Captain Marvel Writer Isn't a Fan of Carol's Avengers: Endgame Haircut

Captain Marvel didn't do too much in Avengers: Endgame but fans were raving about her in the movie for one thing; her awesome haircut. Ever since this short-haired look debuted in the comics, fans have been hoping to see it in the MCU when her live-action movie came out. While most of us expected to see it in the sequel, the fact that it was in Endgame surprised a lot of us fans.

However, Kelly Sue Deconnick disagrees. If that name sounds familiar to you, Deconnick was the first writer to pen Carol's adventures when she started using the Captain Marvel name and she always kept the character's long hair in those issues. It was when she left that a number of writers decided to change up her look and many felt that the hairstyle was an improvement.

When ComicBook.com called the new hairstyle Carol's "real" haircut, Deconnick had this to say:

"Agggghhhh the hair! Alright, go ahead."
"And I would fight you for calling that her real haircut. We're pistols at dawn you and I."

Different strokes for different folks I guess? While a lot of people say that this is her best look, it's easy to see why others would disagree. The girl is blessed enough to rock long and short hair, which can't be said for a lot of people. Shawn Michaels, for example, doesn't look good bald.

Captain Marvel is available in digital services now. Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters.
