Captain Marvel Producer on Hydra's Possible Involvement

There's a lot of hype for Captain Marvel right now, with the movie only two months from release it's easy to see why everyone is so excited. While the first two trailers were generic, Marvel's "special look" video changed a lot of people's minds, though many are likely avoiding it so that they can go to the movie spoiler-free. Plus, we'll get to see the Skrulls and Kree, which could set-up plenty of things for the MCU's future.

However, some fans might be quick to point out that Hydra has been quietly invading S.H.I.E.L.D. from the inside, which was revealed during Captain America: Winter Soldier. They've been doing this for decades so it would be easy to assume that some agents are already under S.H.I.E.L.D. during the '90s.

Captain Marvel producer Jonathan Schwartz says that fans should not expect to see Hydra since the movie already has to balance the Kree/Skrull War with Carol's origins. He told ComicBook.com that Hydra will not be a major presence due to the Skrulls but fans can theorize on the possibilities of Hydra doing something dirty while no one is noticing.

While some would like to see some Hydra involvement, that won't matter much in the long run since we all know that Steve Rogers and his amazing friends take them down. At the least, we can check out details in the background and see what could lead to the Hydra takeover.

Captain Marvel comes out on March 8.
