Canceled Star Wars Battlefront 4 Would Have Given Us Jedi Leia

Fans were pretty bummed when Disney gave EA the license to exclusively make Star Wars games for consoles and though the publisher has been able to make some solid titles, many gamers are still sad about Free Radical no longer working on Star Wars Battlefront. It's a real shame too since concept art from a canceled Star Wars Battlefront 4 has revealed something really cool; Leia Organa as a Jedi.

Admittedly, the concept of Princess Leia being a Jedi is far from the original. We've seen this idea toyed with before in various non-canon Star Wars stories, including as DLC for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. The only time we saw Leia actually undergoing her Jedi training was in a flashback sequence during The Rise of Skywalker, one of the admittedly solid scenes from that movie.

Seeing her character design for this game is nice and makes us wish they would have done a Jedi Leia for EA's Star Wars Battlefront II. Considering how The Rise of Skywalker made her a proper Jedi in the canon so seeing her as a final DLC character would have been nice but alas, some things weren't meant to be.

Maybe we'll get to see Jedi Leia in Star Wars Battlefront III for the PS5 and Xbox Series X? We'll have to wait and see ladies and gents.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is now available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
