CD Projekt Red and Bandai Namco Team Up for Cyberpunk 2077 European Distribution

CD Projekt Red might have Warner Bros. distributing Cyberpunk 2077 for US audiences, they won't be doing the same for European countries. Thankfully, the game is still coming to all of those countries as the company has announced that Bandai Namco will be publishing the new CD Projekt Red game when it comes out, whenever that happens.

The developers announced that their relationship with Bandai Namco has always been a good one so it's cool seeing them come around for this. Fans might find their relationship odd since the games both companies specialize in are completely different but whatever gets this title out to more people is a good move regardless.

Bandai Namco is mostly known for their licensed anime titles and fighting games, though they have published the occasional RPG. Fans recognize them for titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Tekken 7, the upcoming Soul Calibur 6, the Tales of series, and Dark Souls. Still, seeing them publish a photo-realistic first-person RPG is going to shock a number of fans.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a narrative-driven, open-world RPG set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future — Night City. The game follows the story of V, a mercenary on the rise in a world of cyber-enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy netrunners and corporate life-hackers. Featuring CD Projekt Red's hallmark concept of choices and consequences, players will face difficult decisions that ripple through the entire game.

No release date for the game has been announced, as of this writing.
