CD Projekt Red Was Worried About The Witcher 3 Not Having Enough Content

The Witcher 3 is now available on Nintendo Switch and the game continues to be an incredible RPG. Sure, the game doesn't look as good when compared to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions but it's still an incredible game with a big world to explore and plenty of things to do. Funnily enough, the developers in CD Projekt Red were worried that there wouldn't be enough content in the game.

Well, the game is now hundred-plus hours, not including DLC, so I think it's safe to assume that they overdid it.

Speaking with Eurogamer, lead writer Jakub Skamalez revealed that the developers could only see bits and pieces of the game, which is why they thought it would be smaller. A lot of people in development could only see things they worked on but it all worked out in the end.

Here's what Skamalez had to say:

"We were actually very worried that we didn't have enough content. We were seriously concerned there weren't enough quests, enough dialogue sequences, there wasn't enough to keep the player busy. Obviously we were hugely mistaken because the density of the experience is definitely not lacking–but it was so hard to assess it when the game was still being made."

Considering how The Witcher 3 is now the blueprint many developers follow when making their own Western RPGs, we hope the developers are proud of themselves. Though I haven't beaten it yet, the game is amazing and should be played by as many people as possible. Now that it's on Nintendo Switch, more gamers can try this out in their home and wherever they go.

The Witcher 3 is now available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
