Brand-New Pokemon Sword and Shield Trailer Confirms a Bunch of Last-Gen Pokemon

Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming out soon, with some fans still having mixed opinions about the lack of a National Pokedex. The fact that players can't transfer their Pokemon from previous games also ticked off some hardcore fans, making them remember just how dated these titles can actually be. Thanks to a new Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer, we now know that several old-school Pokemon will be making a comeback.

So, if you were offended by the lack of a National Pokedex, know that Game Freak are adding as much Pokemon as they can.

There are a lot of Pokemon from previous generations here, including all of Eevee's evolutions (or should we say Eeveelutions?), Vileplume, Sudowoodo, and Golisopd, among others. We still aren't sure about the Pokemon who will be excluded since Game Freak hasn't given us a list of every Pocket Monster that will be available at launch.

Knowing Game Freak, they will probably make certain Pokemon available via the new Raid Battles and the online gift-giving introduced during the DS generation. While I would rather they set the Pokemon in the wild for us to catch, like when Pokemon GO releases new monsters, giving us gift Pokemon is better than nothing.

I'm fairly excited for this game, even if my best boi Bulbasaur doesn't make it in the game. Sobble is cute enough for me and some of the gym leaders look really fun to fight. Here's hoping that the game is a good time, though a part of me thinks that Sun and Moon might end up being better.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming to Nintendo Switch on November 15.
