Black Widow Movie Influenced by Logan and Terminator 2

The Black Widow movie has been a long time coming and fans have been wanting one since Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Avengers: Age of Ultron, depending on who you ask. It's going to be interesting seeing this movie after Avengers: Endgame, where Natasha sacrificed herself so that the team could get the Soul Stone. While we're all waiting for the film and hoping that it will be good, lead star Scarlett Johansson has been putting our mind at ease since she said it's taking inspiration from some great films.

Speaking with MTV, Johansson revealed that the film would have a gritty feel to it and is going to be taking some inspiration from Logan and Terminator 2. Those are very good movies to base the film on and it could give us an interesting perspective on this version of Taskmaster. He's a fairly fun villain in the comics, usually motivated by money, and we're hoping for some kickass fight scenes.

With the film being set after Captain America: Civil War, it will give us a look at her character and the things she had to endure before Avengers: Infinity War. Tie-in comics did reveal that she, Captain America, and Falcon did fight terrorists for a while but it looks like Natasha will also have to fend off threats from Russia with Yelena Belova and Red Guardian coming for her.

Black Widow comes out on May 1, 2020.
