Birds of Prey Comes to DC Universe Online

You might find this hard to believe but DC Universe Online is still alive and well. Going free-to-play is usually seen as a death-knell nowadays but it actually saved this game and it's still getting new episodes for players to participate in today. In a nice moment of corporate synergy, a new Birds of Prey episode has been announced, just in time for its recent digital release.

Revealed by the PlayStation Blog, the episode details the origins of this renowned group, mostly focusing on Huntress, Black Canary, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy. They will be working for the group's original leader Oracle, who first appeared in Suicide Squad but made a much bigger impact during this comic when it debuted in the ‘90s. Players will be able to team up with these characters, as they discover each other and eventually form their legendary team.

Anyone curious about this game can literally download it for free and it seems like this episode itself will also be free. That's pretty big news since a number of playable episodes like this are usually paid for so this is a pretty good incentive. So, if you love these characters and want to check this game out, there's no time like the present.

Fans will have to wait till April 16 if they want to play the Birds of Prey episode. DC Universe Online can be downloaded right now and is free-to-play on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS3, and Xbox 360.
