Avengers: Endgame Writers Want to Work on House of M Film

Now that Avengers: Endgame has come and gone (it's still showing in theaters though), fans are wondering what the next big MCU event is going to be. There were a lot of people who are hoping that we'll be getting something epic like Secret Invasion or Avengers vs X-Men, though the latter won't be happening anytime soon. There are also some fans that want House of M, including one of the Endgame writers.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter about future Marvel projects, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have acknowledged that The Russo Brothers want a Secret Wars film. That being said, McFeely has stated that he would like to work on a House of M movie but acknowledges that it would take a lot of time since the MCU isn't in that place right now.

"I think House of M would be awesome. But you've got to earn it. It might take awhile. And it seems hard. It doesn't really seem within her [Scarlet Witch's] skillset. We took her skillset away. She had mind control stuff early."

For those unaware, House of M is an alternate universe created by the Scarlet Witch. The story has Wanda go insane after the events of Avengers Disassembled, with Quicksilver convincing her to make a new reality where mutants are the biggest population. Characters like Spider-Man and Captain America get everything they wanted, including Wolverine, who gets all of his memories, and it's up to him to make everything right.

Clearly, some work needs to be done to make this an MCU event.

Avengers: Endgame is now showing in theaters. Spider-Man: Far From Home will be coming out on July 2.
