Avengers: Endgame Directors on Which X-Men Character They Want to See Fight Thanos

Avengers: Endgame is a movie that fans have little-to-no complaints about, despite not being a perfect film in any way, shape, or form. Most people who have seen it really liked it and would not change anything, aside from maybe Steve and Tony's fate, though we can't blame Marvel for that. Obviously, some fans would have liked to see the X-Men involved in some way or form and The Russos were recently asked how they would handle them in Endgame.

Unsurprisingly, anyone who has read a Russos interview about the X-Men knows that they love Wolverine. Apparently, if it were up to them, they would have had Wolverine be the only Mutant survivor of The Snap/The Blip and have him take on Thanos in a bloody battle. In the words of Anthony Russo (via IGN): "I'd love to see a fiercely motivated Wolverine going up against Thanos."

While Wolverine hasn't had much involvement when it comes to Thanos, the superhero was recently involved with the Infinity Stones via Marvel's Infinity Countdown event. The Mutant even teamed up with Loki for a cosmic adventure in Wolverine: Infinity Watch, which acts as an epilogue to Marvel's massive Infinity Wars event.

On a whole other note, how has Marvel not made a Wolverine vs Thanos series yet? The two seemingly immortal men would have some brutal battles, though some fans might hate that since Thanos is significantly more powerful than the lead X-Man.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
