Avengers: Endgame Almost Gave Us a Classic X-Men Maneuver

Avengers: Endgame really was one hell of an event wasn't it? While it did use a number of heroes and villains from the comics, a lot of the story was pretty original and only had a couple of references to the source material (Hail Hydra). However, as the movie has passed and more details about the behind-the-scenes progress has started becoming public, leading us fans to wonder about some of these "what if" situations.

One of these "what if" moments would have had Spider-Man and Hulk doing the fan-favorite X-Men maneuver, the Cannonball Special. This is a move that Colossus and Wolverine usually do when they need Logan to either dig his claws into a Sentinel or to get somewhere far real quick. We can assume that Hulk would have done this to Peter so that he could get the Infinity Gauntlet or something silly like that.

Funnily enough, another piece of art has Ant-Man sized up and preparing to throw Hulk, who is also preparing to throw Spider-Man. Cannonball Special-ception? Definitely.

The image was shared by artist Ryan Meinerding so fans should follow him or just check out some of his cool art. It's always cool to see some of the sequences that didn't make it in the final cut of Avengers: Endgame. While it would have been nice to see some of these scenes in the movie, we can all agree that it was perfect the way it was.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Disney+ and Blu-ray.
