When it comes to finding easter eggs or noticing small details most viewers wouldn’t notice, leave it to Marvel fans, particularly those that enjoy the MCU. Over the years, fans have been finding plenty of obscure details and neat little easter eggs that somehow managed to play a big part in future movies. This isn’t always the case, however, as one fan has pointed out something most people haven’t bothered with; Thanos’ hair grows during Infinity War.

On Reddit, a fan did a side-by-side comparison of Thanos when he first appears in the movie and how he looks near the end. As fans can see, a bit of shading does show up in his scalp, which could mean that Thanos has hair and he likes to shave, just like people in real life. That or it’s just dirt.

Thanos never had hair in the comics so knowing that he might have some in the MCU is a bit shocking. Then again, Gamora has hair, though she isn’t his biological daughter so that is a weak argument. Still, if Thanos does shave his head before he fights, it’s an interesting ritual for a mad titan.

His hair, or lack thereof, won’t mean much when Avengers 4 comes out next year. The villain is expected to return but how he reacts to the heroes trying to reverse what he’s done is going to be fun to watch. Expect Thor to “go for the head” this time.

Many are expecting next year’s Avengers movie to be the last one, though Thanos could end up still being alive by the end. Some fans are hoping that the character appears in The Eternals since Thanos is technically one.

Avengers 4 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
