Ash and Pikachu Pay Tribute to Dragon Ball Z in Beautiful Pokemon Sun and Moon Fight Scene

The recent Pokemon Sun and Moon anime may have been subject to some criticism when it came to character designs and art direction but the simpler look has made for some amazing fight scenes. As we wait for the new Pokemon anime to come out, fans have noticed that the most recent episode not only has some amazing fights but is also fairly comparable to the Cell vs Gohan fight in Dragon Ball Z.

Long story short, Ash and Pikachu team-up to do an amazing electricity attack that looks a lot like the Father-Son Kamehameha that Gohan and Goku used to defeat Cell. It was spectacular back in Dragon Ball Z/Dragon Ball Z Kai and looks just as cool in Pokemon. It's easy to see why fans saw in the comparison and we hope that the new anime has fights that are just as cool.

With Pokemon Sword and Shield coming out in a couple of weeks, the hype for Pokemon is at an all-time high. The anime might also get some fans to pick up Pokemon Sun and Moon or the enhanced Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for the 3DS, assuming they still have the Nintendo handheld.

Despite some criticisms, there are a lot of fans who are looking forward to Pokemon Sword and Shield. The new Pokemon Sword and Shield anime is still showing now but will likely be replaced in November or early 2020.
