Aquaman Director Says Recent Trailers are 'Not Even Close' to Spoiling the Movie, Fans Think Otherwise

Aquaman is looking to be the next great superhero movie, with many fans actually impressed with what has been shown thus far. Sure, the first trailer and poster didn't leave much to be desired but everything else since then has been marketing done right. With the final trailer recently coming out, some fans were worried about these snippets spoiling the whole movie.

Thankfully, director James Wan said that isn't the case and even says that these trailers "don't come close" to spoiling what the film has in store for us fans. Call it hyperbole but it should get some fans feeling relaxed over, what could be, the best DC movie to come out since Wonder Woman or The Dark Knight.

Keep in mind that Zack Snyder once said the same thing about Doomsday's appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, claiming that there was more to the movie than that fight. Unfortunately, that movie ended up being a bloated and dull experience that left anyone but the most diehard DC fans bored or angry. Then again, Warner Bros. seems to be stepping away from Snyder's style of storytelling, despite his defenders, some of whom have starred in plenty of DC movies.

With cameos not expected and a number of tantalizing details released, it looks like Aquaman could be the movie that sets things right for future DC films. It looks self-contained, fun, and could be comparable to some of Marvel's best if the trailers are anything to go by. Here is hoping that it lives up to expectations.

Aquaman hits theaters on December 21.
