Last week, Niantic officially announced the arrival of Legendary Pokemon on Pokemon Go through a new Legendary Raid trailer. However while the video featured a handful of Legendaries battling with numerous Pokemon Go players and their various Pokemon, Niantic's only released a couple of the overwhelmingly powerful Pokemon, allowing gamers to find Lugia and Articuno in Legendary Raids.

Now, to add to the hype, Pokemon Go has dropped word on when exactly it'd be releasing its next two Legendary Pokemon, Moltres and Zapdos. Apologizing for the disastrous Pokemon Go Fest, Niantic CEO John Hanke posted a very lengthy post on Niantic's blog and in the write-up, the videogame developer also revealed when gamers would be able to find Zapdos and Moltres in the game.

"Articuno (Team Mystic) released on Saturday, July 22 and available through Monday, July 31.

Moltres (Team Valor) to be released on Monday, July 31 and available through Monday, August 7.

Zapdos (Team Instinct) to be released on Monday, August 7 and available through Monday, August 14."

While it certainly seems like Niantic plans to cycle its Legendary Pokemon in different periods, we're not sure why the developer decided to have Articuno replaced with two new legendary birds, and keep Lugia instead. Could Lugia be a permanent addition to the game? Let's wait and see.
