New Theory Details How Han Solo Could Be Brought Back For Star Wars: Episode IX

Star Wars: Episode IX is still a year away from its premiere, leaving fans plenty of time to cook up the wildest Star Wars theories online.

Now, as fans anticipate the beginning of production of the third and final film in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy, it looks like some have started cooking up ways on how Han Solo (Harrison Ford) could possibly return from the dead in Episode IX.

Cult director and pop culture connoisseur Kevin Smith just recently took to Twitter to talk about the news that Billy Dee Williams is set to return in Episode IX as Lando Calrissian, and in his post the filmmaker decided to add in a little fantasy hoping that a plot point might come in and bring back Han.

Star Wars fans who've seen the sequel trilogy know that Han was killed by his son Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) towards the end of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and while it's hard to imagine Episode IX bringing the smuggler back to life, Smith's tweet has started sparking some serious speculation.

Nerdist writer Donna Dickens is one of those who strongly believe that Han can be brought back, explaining that the Starkiller Base wasn't originally powered by draining the sun but was instead powered by Dark Matter. Because it was powered by concentrated dark matter, the Starkiller base was actually ripping holes through time and space, leaving an opening for Han Solo to be saved.

While it might seem like an interesting theory to explore, something along the lines of Interstellar, we highly doubt that we're going to see Han again in Episode IX.

What do you think? Is the theory too farfetched?
