New Star Wars Book Confirms Snoke’s Powers And Other Last Jedi Details

Lucasfilm might be trying its best to keep Star Wars: The Last Jedi under wraps, but it seems like interesting details about the upcoming sequel trilogy installment continue to make their way online.

Lucasfilm has just recently published the Star Wars encyclopedia, Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, Updated and Expanded and while the book doesn't necessarily give away any major spoilers for The Force Awakens sequel, it does hold a few juicy tidbits about the upcoming film.

According to Cheat Sheet, the book which was originally released back in 2015 now has an updated 2017 version with new details involving recent Star Wars films, including the upcoming sequel trilogy installment, The Last Jedi. Confirming the fact that Supreme Leader Snoke has telepathy, a page focused on the First Order reads, "Among Snoke's many frightening powers are telepathy and Force chokes and throws!"

While there have been theories regarding Snoke's powers before, this new tidbit from Absolutely Everything You Need to Know enumerates the Supreme Leader's abilities as a Dark Force user. Before the book's release, much about the Star Wars villain had been shrouded in mystery.

That's not all. The book also confirms that the Supreme Leader's Praetorian Guards are meant to protect Snoke, cutting down any possible connection between the group and the Knights of Ren. It also rules out fan theories that the Praetorian Guards might actually be a handful of droids and aliens, revealing that all of the guards are actually human.

Another detail revealed is Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) duration of stay in Ahch-To, confirming that the Jedi's been on the planet for at least two years.

As expected, the book's spoilers don't really reveal much about the event s of The Last Jedi, but it's certainly interesting to learn more about Snoke's powers, the Praetorian Guards, and Luke's exile in Achh-To.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
