New Poster for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

As promised, Warner Bros has just dropped a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, now we also have a new poster featuring Newt and Young Dumbledore, with a familiar symbol looming in the background.

The Deathly Hallows was not something introduced to the Potter franchise until the last book, but it seems that it will be playing an integral part when it comes to the Fantastic Beasts series. What's more, though people know that it's Dumbledore and Grindelwald who would have the climactic duel, it seems that this movie will have Newt face off with Grindelwald first.

The trailer also gives some returns to familiar locations, particularly Hogwarts and the Transfiguration classroom. The underwater sequence also look eerily similar to that of the Mermaid task from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Though I thought Fantastic Beasts was a fine romp at the time, I felt that the movie was kind of forgettable. Sure it's a fantastic extension of the Potter-verse, but I couldn't help but feel that everything was just building up for the next movie. Maybe I should just go easy on J.K. Rowling since it was the first movie she wrote (publicly, at least).

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out Nov. 16.
